Urologist Appointment
I had my first appointment with urologist Dr. Ding Yuan Tien today. I described the details of my hernia surgery and the concerns I've been having about the placement of my testicle and spermatic cord. I even drew a diagram to illustrate what I believe the positioning to be.
Dr. Tien explained that surgery is a possibility to address the issue but should be considered as a last resort. He suggested medication as a more promising approach to see if the testicle can return to its normal position and blood flow can be restored.
I also shared the significant emotional distress I've been experiencing, watching my testicle visibly shrink and feeling helpless. Dr. Tien was empathetic and understanding.
I inquired about the likelihood of my testicle returning to normal. He was honest with me and said there was a low chance of my testicle returning to normal.
Originally, he scheduled the next appointment for a month from now. However, sensing my disappointment, he agreed to shorten the wait time to three weeks.
The medication prescribed: STROCAIN (stomach medicine), SOLAXIN (muscle relaxant), SANDEL (antiplatelet agent), CATAFLAM (pain relief), HARNALIDGE (prostate medicine)

It was reassuring to know that a doctor was prepared to operate if necessary. I was concerned that I might need surgery but be unable to find a doctor willing to take the case.
