Return to Kuang Tien Hospital Urologist
I followed up with my urologist at Kuang Tien Hospital. I explained that since my last appointment a lot has happened and I updated him on my recent medical appointments and tests.
I asked if he could access the results from the urine test for infection I had done at another hospital. He confirmed he could and reviewed the results, stating that everything looked fine. I also shared that my recent testosterone test showed normal levels.
I told him I'm currently using tramadol to manage the pain. He mentioned that he doesn't often prescribe tramadol because of its possible side effects.
The doctor believes the testicular swelling is likely stress-related and doesn’t think it’s an infection. However, he said I could take antibiotics if I wanted, as it wouldn’t cause any harm. I agree that the significant stress from this surgery is undoubtedly impacting my overall health.
The doctor explained that conditions like mine can take a long time to improve. I also shared that I’ve been measuring my testicle regularly and have noticed it’s still getting smaller. He advised me not to focus too much on it and try not to get caught up in the size.
I expressed to the doctor that it's difficult to accept the situation, as this surgery has become a central part of my life. The testicular issue seems to overshadow everything else. I asked if I should continue taking the blood thinner and prostate medication, and he recommended that I do. I mentioned that these medications make me tired, but also noted that the doctor at Taichung Veterans General Hospital had recommended the same medications.
The doctor was going to renew my prescription, but I told him it wasn't necessary because I already have a lot of medication.
