Return to Urologist
Today, I returned to the urologist for a follow-up appointment. I shared my ongoing concerns about the testicular pain in my good testicle and reported that my right testicle seems even smaller now. My originally healthy left testicle was now very soft to the touch and slightly larger. The doctor again assured me that the pain wasn't a major concern.
The doctor explained the details of an operation which involved releasing the spermatic cord and bringing it down to its full length. This surgery wouldn't touch the mesh and only try and release the testicle. The current course of action was still to continue the medication.
I said i thought there was slight improvement in the testicle. I was able to feel Epididymis now and this was softer compared to the very hard testicle which was still like a stone. He felt the testicles again and he thought had dropped a little, he could feel more of the tube than before.
I inquired about my testosterone levels, and asked for a test. The doctor reassured me that they should be within normal limits and a test was not necessary. I confessed to feeling depressed and experiencing other low testosterone symptoms such as tiredness. I did mention that i was still able to grow a beard however.
I wanted to know if the mesh was placed above or below my muscle, and if I'd be able to sense it once the healing process was finished. He described the operation in detail with a diagram showing how the layers or muscle are cut and where the mesh is secured to the ligament. Afterwards the doctor insisted that I wouldn't be able to feel the mesh as its very deep in the tissue.
I inquired if he had discussed my surgery with Dr. Yang Yao Kun to see if there was anything unusual during the procedure. He confirmed that he had and that the only additional comment was that separating the spermatic tube was more challenging than usual.
The medication prescribed: STROCAIN (stomach medicine), SOLAXIN (muscle relaxant), SANDEL (antiplatelet agent), CATAFLAM (pain relief), HARNALIDGE (prostate medicine)

It seemed to me that the actual testicle wasn't any lower than last time I spoke with the doctor, shrunk, making the tube above it more visible. The testicle remains in the same position relative to my groin, and I can still see the excess skin skin on the scrotum below.
